There are a million shopping carts available to users who want to try and sell products online. I've used one provided by my web development company, Kinetic Webs, that has been great. We can manage our inventory, do promotions and include upsell promotions for items.

Content Management Systems...seems easy enough to understand, if you are already in the web business that is!
Most people we meet don't have a clue what those words mean...and how it can unlock a whole new world of use for their website once the thought of paying hourly fees is not a part of making minor administrative changes.
Let's be honest...no web developer wants to dot the 'i' that was forgotten or cross the 't' - I get those jobs and cringe at the thought. No client wants to pay our rates to do those jobs, but in lieu of having someone on staff who can learn a program, they've been stuck.
